We consider outdoor play to be an essential part of children’s learning and development so we endeavour to get the children out for some fresh air every day. The children enjoy picnics, language rings, stories and singing.
We have a newly built outdoor play area which was completed in April 2016.
This is an enclosed decked area, situated at the rear of the building.
Children have access to a range of equipment such as balance bikes, bats and balls, skipping ropes, footballs, hopscotch, balancing stilts, and much more.
We have a small selection of spare Wellington boots and umbrellas, scarves, hats and gloves etc. so that children can play out in all weathers although it is preferable for parents to provide weather appropriate clothing and footwear.
We also regularly take the children out for walks in the local area and visit the local park and garden centre.
