Care at Charley’s Angels is provided by experienced and qualified staff. At all times Ofsted ratio of adults to children are maintained. We recruit staff, not only on the basis of their qualifications, professionalism and experience but also for their personal qualities. We look for enthusiasm, dedication and team work, maturity and a genuine love of children.
All staff have an enhanced DBS Check to ensure they are suitable to work with young children.
In addition to our full and part time staff we have the Assistant Managers, Steph Gallagher and Terri Metcalfe.
Steph holds a Level 3 qualification in child care and education and a level 3 in Leadership and Management.
Terri holds a Level 3 qualification in child care and education and is training in team leadership and peer mentoring. Terri is our settings Safeguarding Lead.
We also have a Deputy Assistant Manager Danielle Smith who holds a Level 3 qualification in child care and education and is training in team leadership and peer mentoring as well as specific Special Educational Needs training including Autism Awareness as she is our settings Lead SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
All three Managers have extensive safeguarding qualifications and are Paediatric First Aid trained.
We have a dedicated Nursery Chef who prepares meals on site for the children in our 5-star food hygiene rated kitchen.
Many of the staff are parents themselves and have worked in childcare in various capacities for many years.
Each room has a senior member of staff who is permanent to that room and they are responsible for ensuring that planning is completed, good team work exists, and the room runs smoothly and efficiently.
Full time staff are allocated to one room to ensure familiarity and consistency for the children and parents.
The nursery is committed to on-going training and development of staff and we will have apprentices training towards their Level 3 qualifications.
All staff including the proprietor hold a Level 2 award in Food Safety and a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
